Stadtchind Magazin | SfGZ
The Stadtchind magazine came about at the Schule für Gestaltung as part of the editorial course. I used the brief to connect it with my own clothing brand and develop it into a cleanly designed magazine. The focus was above all on design, layout, visual language and building a distinctive visual world of its own. The content was still partly improvised and fairly conceptual, yet the project showed me just how much potential there is in this format. Through it, I learned a great deal about editorial design and the technical demands of a magazine. From type area, grid and typography through to image preparation, print preparation and clean file setup, I was able to apply the whole process hands-on and understand it better.

Testimonial
«The project was hugely motivating, because it opened up a new medium for me. What I found especially exciting was how much room a magazine offers for design, attitude and visual storytelling. Out of that grew the wish to develop and distribute a magazine of my own in the future.»
